A truly interactive magazine experience

DI Magazine, based in Brisbane, Australia, has produced a game-changing, interactive application that will change what media consumers will expect from all their media in the near future.

Working with Adobe Photoshop, Philip Andrews, the founder of DI Magazine created an app that allows for a fully interactive, synched link between the user's issue of DI Magazine on their iPad and the user's version of Photoshop on their desktop computer.

Check out the video describing the functionality here:

The result is an ability for the magazine's subscribers to test out Photoshop tools and new capabilities described in the iPad magazine article directly on their desktop. From the video it seems that the techniques in the article are demonstrated on the same image from the article on the iPad. But it would be even cooler and more attractive to the consumer if the techniques could be applied to the user's own images within their version of Photoshop on their desktop. Can't tell from the video if that is possible now but if not, it would be a great new capability.

You can imagine the possibilities for all types of digital information not only digital images.
